Finał Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy (the Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity) - The greatest charity event of the year takes place all over Poland on the first or second weekend of January.
Thanks to the charisma of the leader, Jurek Owsiak, within a dozen years since the first edition the Orchestra has become a nationwide phenomenon. The Final is organised in all major Polish cities, with numerous concerts, auctions and shows.
Everyone participating in the auction, i.e. giving money to fund collectors with special cans, is given a red heart sticker in return.

Śledź! Gdańsk Carnival - since several years on the last Saturday of the carnival on the Coal Market, a number of events have been organised. The programme covers dance showings and contests on stage. The event is intended for both adults and children.

City Holiday - at the end of May, Gdańsk celebrates its anniversary of receiving the so-called Great Privilege from the king Kazimierz Jagiellończyk. Within the whole weekend, cultural and outdoor events take place in the city.

Midsummer Eve Night - a concert of stars organised in the city at the shortest night. Fireworks displays also take place.

The Good Humour Festival - a national review of comedy films. The event is accompanied by a number of performances, private showing with a participation of comedians, newspaper graphic designers, street showings, happenings, and festivities.

The Music Summer - a cycle of the summer, Saturday and Sunday concerts of rock music stars. The events take place on an outdoor stage at the Oliwska Gate.

Saint Dominic’s Fair - a tradition of fair, which was organised always at the end of July and the beginning of August goes back to the 13th century. In the past, this event gathered German, English, French, and even Spanish or Portugal traders. Nowadays, the fair is a great attraction for tourists as well as for the citizens of Gdańsk. Within this event, many festivities and concerts are organised in the city.

Gdańsk Jazz Nights - international festival that promotes all jazz variants. It takes place on the last days of August in the Forest Theatre.
Each of the three days of the event is intended for presentation of a different kind of music.

Space of Freedom - concerts that commemorates the events in Gdańsk in August 1980. Every year, different rock star is invited to take part in the concert. J.M. Jarre and David Gilmour performed their concerts there.

The Dumplings Day (Święto Pieroga) - a contest in making dumplings (pierogi) is organised in the city centre, in September. The viewers have a chance to taste the dumplings.

The Jazz Jantar Festival - an international festival, in which world-famous stars presenting avant-garde and jazz roots take part. It is organised every year in November. Concerts take place in Gdańsk ŻAK club.

Christmas Tree - always on one of the first days of December, lights on the Gdańsk Christmas tree are ceremonially turned on. It is accompanied by the nativity play presentation. The event gathers a mass of viewers every year.

New Year’s Eve Night - a New Year’s Eve concert takes place in the Old Town and a fireworks display at midnight.
