Metalmania - an annual festival of metal and hard rock music organized in March. Two-day concerts take place in Katowice Spodek. Interpretacje (Interpretations) - the National Festival of Stage Management - an annual eight day festival organized in March. It is an annual review of works by young stage managers. The main goal of the festival is the promotion of young stage managers. Festiwal Filmów Kultowych (The Cult Film Festival) - Takes place in May. The annual presentation of films enjoyed by a wide public and considered “cult”, i.e. having a characteristic style and belonging to the core national repertoire. Letni Ogród Teatralny (Summer Theatrical Gardens) - an annual outdoor theatrical event taking place in July and August at Sejmu Śląskiego Square. Presents mostly small-audience performances offered by theatres from all over Poland. Intergrafia - an international exhibition of graphics prize winners. Organized since 1994, every three years in September. The Rawa Blues Festiwal - the oldest in Poland and one of the biggest festivals of blues music in the world. Takes place in October in Katowice Spodek. The event is attended by the most famous blues musicians from all over the world. Górnośląski Festiwal Sztuki Kameralnej (The Upper Silesia Small Audience Art Festival) - Takes place annually in November. Presents the most fascinating phenomena in arts. Mayday Festival - a techno music festival that takes place every November in Katowice Spodek. Attracts the biggest stars of metal music. |
