John Paul II International Airport Kraków-Balice is located 11 km west of the city, at A4 motorway from Cracow to Katowice.

Airport tourist information is located in the arrival zone and its opening time are: daily 10:00-17:00.

From the airport to the centre of Kraków:

By bus:

  • Line 192 – runs from the airport to the city centre; stops on its way, among others, at the Cracovia hotel, AGH (the Academy of Mining and Foundry Engineering), Matejko’s Square, Dworzec Główny (the Main Station) and arrives at Kraków University College. Duration of transport from the airport to the city centre amounts to about 35 minutes.
  • Line 208 – runs from the airport through Balicka Street, Student Campus to Nowy Kleparz. Duration of transport time from the airport to the city centre amounts to about 40 minutes.
Tickets are available in press selling points in the terminal or by a special excess fare from the driver. Fare for a ride to the city centre amounts to 2.50 PLN.

By train:
It is possible to ride from the airport to the city centre from the airport station located at a distance of about 200 metres from the terminal. Duration of a ride time to Dworzec Głowny PKP w Krakowie (the Main PKP Railway Station in Krakow) amounts to about 15 minutes. Transport costs 4 PLN.

By taxi:
Transport from the airport to the city centre lasts about 20 minutes. A ride will cost you 50 PLN.
